The lowest displayed fare is sold by SmartFares through Skyscanner USA from approximately $651.
EgyptAir can also be selected from the provider list from around $684. Because the direct airline price is only approximately $33 higher, many travellers may prefer booking with EgyptAir for clearer fare conditions and more direct assistance if the schedule changes.

Why this deal stands out
A return fare from approximately $651 is excellent for nonstop flights between Chicago and Cairo. The strongest benefits are:
- No connection in either direction
- Full-service airline
- Two checked bags shown as included
- One carry-on bag shown as included
- Twelve available date combinations
- An airline-direct option costing only slightly more
- Travel during the more comfortable autumn and winter months
The less convenient elements are the early arrival in Cairo and the late-night departure for the return journey. Your flight-schedule screenshot can show those timings clearly without repeating the complete schedule here.
Where to stay in Cairo
For most first-time visitors, three nights in Cairo and Giza provide a good introduction. This allows time for the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum and at least one day exploring central or historic Cairo.
Travellers staying four nights or longer could divide their accommodation between two areas:
- Giza: best for pyramid views and early access to the Giza Plateau
- Downtown Cairo or Garden City: useful for museums, the Nile and central sightseeing
- Zamalek: a calmer area with restaurants, cafés and upscale hotels
- Heliopolis or New Cairo: practical for airport access and a final-night stay
Because Cairo traffic can be very slow, a split stay can reduce the amount of time spent travelling across the city.
Featured accommodation example
The original search highlighted Cacillion Pyramids View in Giza.
A sample three-night stay for two adults was shown from approximately $205 in total, including continental breakfast. That works out at around $68 per room per night or $34 per person when two people share.
Its main attraction is the direct view towards the Giza Pyramids from selected rooms and the terrace. Travellers should confirm the exact room category because not every room will necessarily include the same view. Hotel rates and cancellation conditions can change.

Suggested Egypt itineraries
Nine or ten nights
Three nights in Cairo and Giza → four nights in Luxor → final night in Cairo
This works well for travellers who want to prioritise Egypt’s principal archaeological attractions without adding too many internal transfers.
Twelve to fourteen nights
Three nights in Cairo → three nights in Luxor → three nights in Aswan or on a Nile cruise → three or four nights by the Red Sea
Possible Red Sea destinations include Hurghada, Marsa Alam or Sharm el-Sheikh.
Fifteen nights
A longer trip could add Alexandria, Siwa Oasis or a longer beach stay after visiting Cairo and Upper Egypt.
Return to Cairo with a comfortable buffer before the international departure rather than relying on a long same-day journey from Luxor, Aswan or the Red Sea.
Excursions and activities in Egypt
Cairo offers much more than the pyramids. Travellers can join guided visits to the Giza Plateau, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, discover Islamic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili, or take an evening cruise on the Nile.
Outside Cairo, popular experiences include:
- Guided tours of Luxor and the Valley of the Kings
- Nile cruises between Luxor and Aswan
- Abu Simbel excursions
- Desert and oasis trips
- Snorkelling and diving in the Red Sea
- Alexandria day trips or overnight visits
Booking selected excursions in advance can be useful for major archaeological sites, long-distance day trips and experiences that include transport.
