Air India is currently undergoing a massive transformation, as the airline has been privatized, and billions of dollars are being invested into improving the operation. The goals are impressive, from taking delivery of hundreds of new jets, to overhauling aircraft cabins.

It’s an exciting day for JetBlue. The airline has just announced plans to open airport lounges, which is something that has been rumored for years. The lounges will open in New York (JFK) and Boston (BOS), starting in late 2025.

I don’t often write about travel technology related things, since, well, I’m not very good with technology. However, Apple has just introduced a a cool new feature, which I think many people will find to be at least moderately useful.

For years, there have been rumors of JetBlue possibly opening airport lounges, since that has been a weak point of the JetBlue premium experience. Several months ago, executives at the airline dismissed the possibility of this, and claimed it wasn’t a priority at the moment.

Speaking to Skift, JetBlue president Marty St. George said it’s possible to balance a low-cost airline with high-end lounges. If realized as planned, these could be some of the most exclusive spaces of any U.S. carrier.  -Gordon Smith

It’s an exciting time at Scandinavian Airlines (SAS). The airline has just emerged from bankruptcy protection, and now has an investment from Air France-KLM, and has also left Star Alliance and joined SkyTeam.

In mid-2022, Air France formally announced plans to introduce a new first class product. Details were fairly limited at the time, though it’s no doubt one of the most exciting first class products on the horizon.

Singapore Airlines offers its KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes promo, whereby you can get significant savings on award tickets in select regions. This is a fantastic opportunity to save on award flights on one of the world’s best airlines.

IHG One Rewards has launched its newest global promotion for stays as of today. While registration opened about a week ago, members can now start taking advantage of this. I’d say that this is better than nothing, but probably not a reason to switch any stays to IHG.

The Amex Offers programfrequently has promotions for hotel stays, which can save you money or earn you bonus points for stays youd make anyway. Amex has just rolled out its latest targeted hotel offer, which is exclusively for stays at select Radisson family properties.

Fraud is rapidly increasing in the travel industry, threatening airlines, hotels, and booking sites. Companies must protect their customers or face the damages.
