At Marriott Bonvoy, you can invite up to five friends per calendar year and receive 2,000 points for up to five stays within a year (365 days). As a bonus, the invited person also receives 2,000 points for the first five stays within the first year! Both the referrer and the referee can earn up to 10,000 additional points. Since you can refer up to five people per calendar year, you can earn a maximum of 50,000 points.
The “friend” must select points and not miles as the earning option, and of course, must not have previously been a member of Marriott Rewards.
Also, all qualifying stays must be booked directly on Marriott’s website and not through third party providers e.g. Expedia, Booking.com… Otherwise, no points will be credited and there is no bonus:
