For many travellers that will make no difference, but it is worth knowing before booking a long-haul journey.

Sathorn / Silom is an excellent all-round base with restaurants, rooftop bars, good transport and easy access towards the river.
Sukhumvit / Asok / Phrom Phong works particularly well for nightlife, restaurants, shopping and BTS/MRT connections.
Riverside / Old Town is better for travellers prioritising Wat Arun, Wat Pho, the Grand Palace and the Chao Phraya River.
Suggested 12-night Thailand itinerary
A particularly balanced itinerary for the reference dates would be:
Bangkok – 3 nights → Chiang Mai – 4 nights → Krabi or Phuket – 4 nights → Bangkok – 1 final night
November is particularly suitable for combining Bangkok with northern Thailand and the Andaman coast.
Keeping the last night in Bangkok also makes sense because the international flight departs at 01:15. I would avoid relying on a separately ticketed domestic flight arriving only a few hours before the Saudia departure.
